Can it be done successfully in low limit, or does it really depend on positioning and who is next to you (aka spotting the weaker players)??

I find that most low limit games have a high number of players seeing the flop, making stealing the blind very hard.

On the small number of times I get the chance to steal, I tend to target only tight players as they will generally be more disciplined and more likely to fold. I find it is not worth trying to steal against loose players as they will call too often.

I don't understand. What is "stealing the blind"? The blind is what one puts up before seeing the first three cards, right? (I can't remember what those first three cards are called. lol.)

The first three cards are called "the flop", the 4th card is the turn and the final of course, is the river

Stealing the blind: Raising pre-flop before anyone else has called/raised (probably from late position) with a weak hand in order to make the blinds fold.
