what do you think is the best strategy for texas hold em? is there a particular strategy that works best for this game?

There are many factors that make a "good" poker player. As far as style goes, generally speaking, a tight agressive playing style is considered to be solid.

Playing tight means not playing many starting hands (however, how many starting hands depends on how many players are playing as well as the table conditions).

Playing agressive means betting/raising a lot instead of calling/betting.

Probably more important is being able to adapt your game to the table conditions which comes from practice

I don't think there is a certain strategy that you can use to win poker. I think that it is all built off your reading abilities and if you don't suck at it, you could win a bit more than a shinny penny.

First thing you have to do is develop a strategy that you are going to use during play. Opening hands,when to raise, when to bluff, when to fold.

I am new and don't really have much of a stratgy set in stone yet. I basically take it as it comes depending on who I am playing.

I would recommed doing a little research just so you know what the top ten set of cards to start with are. For example AA, KK, etc. When to raise and how to read your opponents will come with time.
