With the ever increasing popularity of Texas Holdem, the Travel Channel has begun airing the World Poker Tour in prime time. The frenzy surrounding Texas Holdem has been fueled by Chris Moneymaker's incredible upset at the 2003 World Series of Poker, and Bravo's smash hit series "Celebrity Poker Showdown." Combine this with poker in prime time, and you have the game that everyone in America wants to watch and play. The World Poker Tour in 2004 will consist of 15 tournaments featuring the best Texas Holdem players in the world playing for multi-million dollar prize pools. In 2004, the World Poker Tour will also play host to 4 Hollywood Home Games, each featuring six of Hollywood's poker-playing stars playing Texas Holdem at the World Poker Tour table.
