When my grandmother was teaching me how to play Texas Holdem, she was showing me on an online game...I think it was Pokerstars.net, but I can't remember. She has about 5 different games on her computer. But the speed all the people were playing ... It was so fast, I had no clue what was going on. How do these people even have time to think about what they are doing? I am a verrry slow player, but I guess that's bc I'm such a newbie. So does everyone else play that fast or do you take the time to think about your next move?

I don't like to play multiple tables at once; I find it impossible to pay attention to individual players.

Playing micro limits, you can profit from other players' mistakes and don't really need to pay attention. In these games, you probably can play multiple tables at once. Also, playing tight (not seeing many flops) means most of the time you will be folding and only occasionally will you have to concentrate on more than one table at a time.

Playing multiple tables is a major no-no for me as well. Can't learn anything and you could easily make mistakes as the screens flip back and forth.

I have a hard enough time not wanting to surf the net or read my emails as I go along

I didn't say anything about playing multiple tables. The people just play so fast on this one game, I don't see how they know what they are doing. My grandma only plays at one table.

I don't play one more than one table at once also. I try to enjoy every second I play poker and there are some times when you just have to sit back and relax. That's the point of poker, not playing like a crazy horse to win something here and to loose something there.

I tend not to play fast. As for playing multiple tables you just wouldn't catch me doing it. I could see me getting way to frazzeled trying to do that.
