A few observations:

You can't bluff or semi-bluff "bad" players, I have learned.

Sit back and wait on your hands to come, bad players will call, most watch too much ESPN WSOP and think they are macho

They are also not as good as reading other players as well

I agree. Most beginners tend to have FPS (fancy play syndrome): they will bet with weak hands and check strong hands. You just have to play a tight game against them and you'll see a profit!

Hey, that's not true! lol. I'm a beginner, and I will bet everything if I have a really good hand! haha. I tend to check with everything else, bc I can't tell if it's that good or not. I'm learning though.

It really depends on the personality. Of course, many of the new players bet on everything they have on their hand, but there are some guys who are really careful with betting.

I would have to agree that I am a fairly new player and because of that am a lot more conservitive when playing.

I would agree with what Simice. I have played in a lot of tourney's and the new comers would call my bluff every time and usually with a small pair or high card. I try not to bluff a lot when there are unexperienced players at the table unless it's a bluff that could pay off as in the high pair showing.
