Poker Rules question 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hello,

I've just started to learn poker at www.learnpoker21.com and while playing the game I've encountered a problem in the software...
Comunity cards: 7-7-9-9-4.
My cards: 4-10.
Other player: J-K.

The software decided that I'm the winner because of 2 paires and circled the 7-7 the 9-9 but also my poket card numbered 4.

I'm sure that is a wrong circling, but my question is...
was I supposed to be the winner because after the 2 paires tht we both had, I have pair of 4s, or is it always the best 5 cards chosen and in that case the other player wins with high card K.
Or is it a draw?

Please help,
Thanks,
Guy

It looks like you are right and there is a problem with the software. It is always the best 5 cards that wins:

K-J would give 7-7-9-9-K

which would beat

4-10 which gives 7-7-9-9-10

I hope that helps!
