Jackie Meecham from Leytonstone commented: "I watched poker on TV for a few months before I started to play and decided that this was a game that I could do well at. I packed my bags soon after and headed to Las Vegas for a holiday with the express intention of leaving Las Vegas, knowing how to play poker well." "I think I can safely say that this has been achieved! I can't wait to participate in the Poker Million VI, apart from the experience the amount of money to be won is astounding. If you get to the semi final you are guaranteed at least £6,000 and to get into the semi finals means £10,000. It is an opportunity of a lifetime, that I am going to grasp with both hands." Jackie will purchase a new car with her winnings. Other players on the final table included second place Angelina from Sweden who was way out in front at the start of the Heads-up, but Jackie just would not give in and eventually won the day. Girl about town Leilani also dropped in for the weekend event although on this occasion she did not make it to the final table. Ladbrokespoker.com is celebrating its fifth birthday this month with a festival of poker and will run a number of tournaments with prizes to visit Las Vegas and play in the world series through to participating in the Poker Million VI. Samantha Alleyne PR Manager Ladbrokes commented: "This is truly a great event, it gives women a chance to experience a tournament where they are one of many and not a few as is often the case in live poker. It's a really friendly environment to introduce players who usually only play online or have limited live experience and yet the structure, format and prizes continue to attract the crème de la creme of the poker circuit Lucy Rokash and Liz Lieu to mention just two of the names that also signed up for the tournament and are renowned for beating men at their own game."
