Michael Craig’s book “The Professor, the Banker and the Suicide King: Inside the Richest Poker Game of All Time� brought the story of full time banker and part time high-stakes poker player Andy Beal to life. They played a game with stakes so high that the professional poker community had to combine their assets just to compete.

Recently, Beal was back to face a rotating collection of the game’s best with $20 million of his own money on the line. The game was limit poker with stakes ranging from $30,000 – $60,000 to $50,000 – $100,000. The money swings were as high as $10 million in a single day.

Craig was the only player allowed at the table to document the historic rematch. Hopefully, a new book is in the works.
