World Poker Tour founder, Steve Lipscomb, is being sued in federal court for allegedly stealing the idea of televised poker. In a conversation with Lipscomb 10 years ago, Jonathan Waessil claims that he mentioned discussions with casino owners about the possibility of televising poker. After that, he claims Lipscomb took the idea and began the WPT. A spokesperson for the WPT has called the case groundless.
