Two years ago we launched 4texasholdem.com with the goal of providing valuable Texas Holdem information to poker players of all skill levels. We began with a love of the game and a few articles on the basics of Texas Hold’em. Today, the site has grown to include more than 70 articles covering all aspects of Texas Holdem, 40 polls that challenge our visitors, and information on the best poker supplies and online places to play.



Recently, we realized that our website platform had many limitations that kept us from truly reaching our goal. With this in mind, we began the journey of redeveloping the site to improve it’s overall flow and function. Today, we are thrilled to reveal the product of our work!

The all new 4texasholdem.com will feature articles in one of five categories:

Holdem Musings – In this category, you will find stories about poker pros, poker tours, and other poker antics. Some are meant to amuse, while others are meant to enlighten.

Odds and Outs – Here you will find articles to help you better understand your “outs” when playing Texas Holdem. You will also learn about pot “odds” and when to push your money in the pot.

Quizzes and Trivia – Information to test your holdem knowledge and improve your game.

Rules and Basics – A great place for the beginner to start learning about Texas Holdem.

Strategy – In this section, you will find a variety of articles covering both online and live games, as well as cash games and tournaments.

Other new features you will find on the site include immediate feedback of poll questions. Many of our users asked for this feature to be added, and it’s now available. You read the poll question and make a selection, and we’ll give you the correct answer and a summary of the results. Members also asked for better information on poker chips and tables, as well as other poker supplies. So, we’ve assembled a great collection of poker supplies covering a gamut of topics.

You will notice that the Forums Section has been eliminated. Unfortunately, the Forums were seldom used and three quarters of the posts needed to be deleted for spam or inappropriate content. In its place, we have provided a comment section for each article or poll. Here, visitors can provide comments and feedback or interact with other visitors. No membership is required to post a comment.

Future additions to our site will include categories for “Poker News” and the original 4texasholdem podcast entitled “Pokercast.” Each week, Poker News articles will keep you informed of top stories from the world of poker. Pokercast will feature the duo of Doug and Kory as they share their knowledge of Texas Holdem in the made for web broadcast format known as a podcast.
